Football Recap: Flagler Palm Coast Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Flagler Palm Coast can now relate to. They took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of DeLand on Monday. While losing is never fun, Flagler Palm Coast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 296th, while DeLand is ranked 116th).

Flagler Palm Coast has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for DeLand, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Flagler Palm Coast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for DeLand, they will challenge Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bulldogs 11.6, the Wildcats 9) so any points scored will be well earned.
