Basketball Recap: Washington Extends Winning Streak to Three

Washington won against Iowa City on Tuesday with 73 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Washington Warriors strolled past the Liberty Lightning with points to spare, taking the game 73-59. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Lightning players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jerimiah Washpun, who went 10-for-19 to rack up 23 points. Washpun is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 53% in the last four games he's played. Maddoc Coapstick was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 11 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 12-17. As for Liberty, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Liberty, they will host Wahlert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.
