Basketball Recap: Statesville Christian Lions vs. North Hills Christian Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gospel Light Christian, Statesville Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They took down the North Hills Christian Eagles 64-49. The Lions pushed the score to 44-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.
North Hills Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Noah Dendy and Zachary Strickland. Dendy went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and three steals, while Strickland posted 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Those three steals gave Dendy a new career-high.
