Softball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Tecumseh's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Tecumseh barely beat Dexter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians never let the Dreadnaughts get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Wednesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Not much got past Kennedi Fulton, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep Dexter off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lauren Kilbarger, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maya Juozapaitis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Tecumseh is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Dexter, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season.

Tecumseh will face off against Whiteford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dexter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Dreadnaughts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Railsplitters have averaged an impressive 12.1 runs per game this season.
