Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes a Loss

Mt. Vernon was the 2-0 winner over Woodlawn when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Woodlawn, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Mt. Vernon will take on Carbondale at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Woodlawn, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against North Clay on the 30th.
