Soccer Game Preview: South Iredell vs. A.L. Brown

South Iredell is on a four-game streak of home losses, and A.L. Brown a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The South Iredell Vikings will look to defend their home pitch against the A.L. Brown Wonders at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for South Iredell's offense. They lost 3-0 to Lake Norman on Friday. While losing is never fun, South Iredell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Lake Norman are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, A.L. Brown also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Mooresville by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

South Iredell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for A.L. Brown, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12-2.

South Iredell skirted past A.L. Brown 1-0 when the teams last played on April 4th. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Wonders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
