Volleyball Recap: Yoselin Herrera's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chaparral over Santa Teresa

Chaparral lost against Santa Teresa back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Lobos lost 3-0 to the Desert Warriors.

Chaparral took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-18.

Several Lobos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Yoselin Herrera, who had nine assists and seven digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Diana Valenzuela, who had 11 digs and seven blocks.

Chaparral dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Santa Teresa, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.

Chaparral wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Silver on the 28th. As for Santa Teresa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Deming on the 28th.
