Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sadie Flansburg and Addison Slama Lead Ogallala to Victory

Ogallala posted their closest victory since October 8, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Chadron Cardinals. The Indians have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Leading Ogallala to victory were Addison Slama and Sadie Flansburg. Slama had 16 digs and six assists, while Flansburg had three digs and one assist. That's the most digs Slama has posted since back in September of 2024. Ella Mueller also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

Loss or not, Chadron got some senior leadership from Raylie Pourier and Vrasai Sayaloune. Pourier had 16 digs and seven assists, while Sayaloune had 13 digs.

The victory made it two in a row for Ogallala and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Chadron, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Ogallala wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against St. Paul on the 20th. As for Chadron, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against York on the 20th.
