Basketball Recap: Marie Philip Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Marie Philip was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between the Galloping Ghosts and Rhode Island School for the Deaf didn't end well, with the Galloping Ghosts falling 33-19. If the Galloping Ghosts were looking for revenge after losing 23-11 to Rhode Island School for the Deaf when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Marie Philip saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kai Gabriel posted six points and ten boards. Gabriel is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Marie Philip's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Marie Philip will be home for the holidays to greet Woodward at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, they will venture away from home to challenge Fishers Island at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
