Northern Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wabaunsee Chargers. On the bright side, the eight- run performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring game to date.

Northern Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Wabaunsee, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-9.

Coming up, Northern Heights will square off against Lebo on Thursday. The last five games the Wolves have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Wabaunsee, they will challenge Frankfort on Friday.
