Football Recap: Hopkins Comes Up Short

Hopkins was the 35-14 winner over Godwin Heights when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings took a 26-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines on Friday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hopkins' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Godwin Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Hopkins is taking a road trip to face off against Kelloggsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Godwin Heights, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lee at 7:00 p.m.
