Marshall had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Chrisman Cardinals on Tuesday. The Lions were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cardinals, so the Lions were just returning the favor.

The win didn't come easy: Chrisman scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Teutopolis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chrisman, they will take on Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
