Volleyball Recap: International Community Makes It 12 in a Row at Home

International Community had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Wekiva on Friday. The Comets blew past the Mustangs 3-0.

International Community walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-14, 25-19.

Lilly Kirby paced International Community's offense, picking up 15 kills. Kirby got some help from Evelyn Hammer and her 25 assists. Kirby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

International Community pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wekiva, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

International Community has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Forest Lake Academy on the 15th. As for Wekiva, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Evans on the 16th.
