Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Vernon Christian). They blew past the Northwest Yeshiva Lions 78-42 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Hurricanes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Northwest Yeshiva still got an impressive performance from Joe Benoliel, who posted 21 points. Benoliel has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Evan Kaufthal was another key player, putting up five points in addition to seven boards and five assists.

Mount Vernon Christian pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Northwest Yeshiva, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Mount Vernon Christian will head out on the road to square off against Coupeville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Coupeville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mount Vernon Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
