Bishop O'Connell put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Bishop Ireton Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Bishop O'Connell not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Bishop Ireton between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Bishop O'Connell was led to victory by Natalie Hobson and Caroline Semko. Hobson had seven digs and two aces, while Semko had 11 digs. Semko is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Bishop O'Connell was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 30 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Bishop O'Connell's record is now 14-0. As for Bishop Ireton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Bishop O'Connell will head out to take on Episcopal at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Ireton, they will challenge Maret at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
