Volleyball Recap: Giddings Takes a Loss

Giddings lost against Caldwell back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buffaloes fell 3-1 to the Hornets. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 27-29, 25-20.

Giddings' offense was headlined by Karleigh Blansit and Caedon Melcher, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Ayla Droegemueller and her 24 assists. Aliza Rodriguez and Rilynn Creek kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Giddings' defeat dropped their record down to 16-26. As for Caldwell, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-23 record this season.

Giddings has already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against La Grange on the 14th. As for Caldwell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Smithville on the 14th.
