Preview: Wilson Hall Barons vs. Christian Academy Saints
The Wilson Hall Barons's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Christian Academy Saints at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Wilson Hall is ranked 97th, while Christian Academy is ranked 86th).
Last Wednesday, Wilson Hall was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-49 to Cardinal Newman.
Meanwhile, Christian Academy strolled past Pee Dee Academy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 30-12.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Payton Rumley, who scored eight points along with 15 rebounds and two steals. Carly Belle Jackson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Wilson Hall's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.
Wilson Hall came up short against Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2022, falling 50-44. Thankfully for Wilson Hall, Jordyn Hall (who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
