Softball Recap: Laconia Takes a Loss

Laconia was the 10-5 winner over Milford when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Sachems fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 12-11 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Sachems have lost by just one run.

Laconia has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Milford, their record now sits at 5-8-1.

While Laconia had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
