Soccer Game Preview: Spring Valley vs. Parkersburg

Spring Valley hasn't had much luck against Parkersburg recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Timberwolves will host the Big Reds at 5:30 p.m. Spring Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

On Tuesday, Spring Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Russell and fell 3-2.

Duke Elkins and Levi Yeoman scored both of the Timberwolves' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten goals the game before, Parkersburg was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Hurricane, falling 4-0. Parkersburg haven't had much luck with Hurricane recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-2. As for Parkersburg, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Spring Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Parkersburg when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Big Reds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
