Basketball Game Preview: Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters vs. Benjamin Franklin Electrons

The Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters will challenge the Benjamin Franklin Electrons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Abraham Lincoln turned things around against George Washington on Thursday. They walked away with a 64-55 victory over the Eagles. The win almost wasn't to be: the Railsplitters were down 36-19 in the second quarter.

It was another big night for Miguel Rosa Jr, who posted 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ortiz-Muhammad, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Benjamin Franklin came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Rockets by a score of 69-58.

Benjamin Franklin has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Abraham Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.

Everything came up roses for Abraham Lincoln against Benjamin Franklin when the teams last played back in December of 2017, as the team secured an 84-47 win. Will Abraham Lincoln repeat their success, or does Benjamin Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
