Recap: Foothill Mustangs vs. Lathrop Spartans
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Foothill Mustangs, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Lathrop on Friday, falling 47-0. Foothill's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Xiavior Smith threw for 76 yards on 12 of 24 attempts. Tomas Norse was his top target, picking up 96 receiving yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lathrop to victory, but perhaps none more so than Andre Muqhar, who rushed for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Julio Garcia was in the mix too, providing Lathrop with two touchdowns.
Foothill's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lathrop, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Foothill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lathrop will head out on the road to face off against Casa Roble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Roble has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 319 points over their last six contests.
