Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hackett Catholic Prep). They put the hurt on the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants with a sharp 18-1 victory on Saturday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Fighting Irish with their most commanding win of the season.

Hackett Catholic Prep has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Kalamazoo Central, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Coming up, Hackett Catholic Prep will head out to face off against Parchment at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kalamazoo Central, they will host Norrix at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Maroon Giants surely won't give up without a fight.
