Baseball Recap: ThunderRidge Victorious

ThunderRidge proved they can win big on Friday (they won by six) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Boulder Panthers 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Grizzlies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tanner Rhodes was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs. He has become a key player for ThunderRidge: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-11 otherwise.

ThunderRidge's record is now 10-12. As for Boulder, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ThunderRidge will take on Rocky Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Grizzlies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lobos have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Boulder, they will face off against Fairview at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
