Basketball Game Preview: Harborfields Tornadoes vs. Amityville Memorial Warriors

The Harborfields Tornadoes will face off against the Amityville Memorial Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harborfields saw some tournament action last Saturday. They came out on top against Holy Trinity by a score of 42-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornadoes.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Amityville Memorial). Everything went their way against Newfield on Friday as Amityville Memorial made off with a 59-35 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted since January 13, 2024.

Harborfields better keep an eye on Alana Henry. She was instrumental in Amityville Memorial's win, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 18 boards. That makes it five consecutive games in which Henry has scored at least a third of Amityville Memorial's points.

Harborfields now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Amityville Memorial, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Harborfields came up short against Amityville Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 44-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Henry, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.
