Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Round Lake). They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Waukegan Bulldogs on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Christopher Villareal, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Dylan Dittmer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Round Lake and bumps their season record up to 5-18. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Waukegan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Round Lake will venture away from home to take on Antioch at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The Sequoits' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Waukegan, they will head out on the road to challenge Zion-Benton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
