Garden Plain and Belle Plaine are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Garden Plain Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Belle Plaine Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Belle Plaine took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Garden Plain, who comes in off a win.

Garden Plain will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points on Thursday, then bounced right back against Chaparral on Friday. Garden Plain enjoyed a cozy 58-42 win over Chaparral.

Meanwhile, Belle Plaine lost to Kingman on the road by a 66-49 margin on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Garden Plain is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.5 points over those games. Belle Plaine's loss dropped their record down to 4-15.
