Volleyball Game Preview: Alexander Cougars vs. McIntosh Chiefs + Official Tickets

The Alexander Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the McIntosh Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Saturday, Alexander came up short against Kennesaw Mountain and fell 2-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Alexander was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Meanwhile, McIntosh had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant McIntosh was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-14, 25-15.

Alexander's loss dropped their record down to 25-18. As for McIntosh, their victory bumped their record up to 37-9.

Alexander couldn't quite get it done against McIntosh in their previous meeting back in September of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
