You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. We'll dive into that and more in this week's report.
Can't Stop Won't Stop
The Duxbury offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. Everything went its way against Silver Lake Regional as it secured a 36 - 0 win. That 36-point margin marks the most Duxbury has won by all season. With eight consecutive wins, Duxbury boasts the longest winning streak of any team in the rankings.
No Stoppin 'Em
The match between Acton-Boxborough and Cambridge Rindge & Latin last week put some strain on the scoreboard; in fact, with a total of 70 final points, it was the highest scoring contest in the power rankings for the week. Acton-Boxborough breezed past Cambridge Rindge & Latin with a final score of 49 - 21. Acton-Boxborough made sure to walk the walk to justify being talked up as the big favorite.
This Week's Big Showdown
The clash of the power ranking titans last week was between Belmont Hill (7th in the MaxPreps state rankings) and Noble & Greenough (22nd). Belmont Hill took its game against Noble & Greenough by a confident 33 - 7 score. Even if it didn't bump Belmont Hill up the rankings, the win at least kept the team from dropping.
