Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends St. Mary's Academy's Winning Streak

St. Mary's Academy was the 49-39 winner over Wichita HomeSchool when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Mary's Academy Crusaders received a blow on Friday as they fell 57-43 to the Wichita HomeSchool Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. Mary's Academy moved to 11-14 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Wichita HomeSchool, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-9.

Coming up, St. Mary's Academy will challenge Sunrise Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sunrise Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.8 points per game this season. As for Wichita HomeSchool, they will host Christ Prep Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Wichita HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Christ Prep Academy likes a good challenge.
