Soccer Recap: Bellefonte Takes a Loss

After flying high against Penns Valley Area on Tuesday, Bellefonte came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against the Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders on Thursday, falling 6-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Bishop Guilfoyle this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 back in September.

Brinley DeWeese and Brooke Whitman scored both of Bellefonte's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Bellefonte's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Bellefonte will be playing at home against Somerset at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they have already played their next match, a 1-1 win against Bedford on the 18th.
