Softball Recap: Grandview Heights Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Grandview Heights won against Whitehall-Yearling last Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bobcats blew past the Bexley Lions 12-4. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ejheni Mdivanian spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Caroline Harwood was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Charlie Enderle also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Grandview Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bexley only posted a batting average of .250.

Grandview Heights' record is now 3-1. As for Bexley, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Grandview Heights will square off against rival Bishop Ready at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bexley is set to challenge their familiar foe Buckeye Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
