Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Comes Up Short

Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Bethlehem Wildcats, falling 70-29. Covenant Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-19.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethlehem to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kolton Amerson, who posted 21 points. Amerson's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marques Russell, who had 17 points.

Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Bethlehem, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Covenant Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bethlehem, they will face off against Arnold at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bethlehem will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
