Recap: Bishop Gorman Gaels vs. San Ramon Valley Wolves
The Bishop Gorman Gaels are ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the San Ramon Valley Wolves. Bishop Gorman fell 61-49 to San Ramon Valley. Bishop Gorman has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Bishop Gorman's loss came despite strong showings from Aaliah Spaight and Kenzee Holton. Spaight scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, while Holton scored 16 points along with three steals. The contest was Holton's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addysen Carr, who scored five points.
Bishop Gorman struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Bishop Gorman's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for San Ramon Valley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.
