Volleyball Recap: Wooster Starts Season with Win at Home

Wooster gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Ashland Arrows 3-0. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Arrows recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Wooster not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ashland between 19 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.

Sara Snowbarger paced Wooster's offense, picking up 14 kills. Snowbarger got some help from Bri Hewitt and her 27 assists. Snowbarger was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Wooster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Mansfield Senior on the 21st. As for Ashland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against New Philadelphia on the 21st.
