Soccer Recap: Jay County Takes a Loss

Jay County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yorktown Tigers. That's two games in a row now that Jay County have lost by just one goal.

Brody Collins and Jacoby Penrod scored both of Jay County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Jay County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for Yorktown, they moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Jay County will host Richmond at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jay County's defense better be ready for this one: Richmond have averaged an impressive 4.2 goals per game this season. As for Yorktown, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-0 loss against Shelbyville on the 13th.
