Basketball Recap: Lake Zurich Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Lake Zurich won the last time they faced Lake Forest and things went their way on Friday too. The Lake Zurich Bears came out on top against the Lake Forest Scouts by a score of 39-31. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Scouts are ranked 280th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Zurich is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Lake Forest, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Zurich will welcome Barrington at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Forest, they will host Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
