Volleyball Recap: Rock Bridge Comes Up Short

If Rock Bridge was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Blair Oaks last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bruins fell 3-1 to the Blue Springs South Jaguars on Thursday. The Bruins haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Rock Bridge's offense was headlined by Aubrie Jo Benney and Maeve Rush, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Emery Allen and her 39 assists. Allie Luetkemeyer and Malaya Jackson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Rock Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 19-18. As for Blue Springs South, the victory snapped their losing streak at ten matches and leaves them with a 7-26 record.

Rock Bridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blue Springs South, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Waynesville on the 25th.
