Softball Recap: Bradley Central Bears vs. McMinn County Cherokees

After flying high against Howard Tech last Tuesday, Bradley Central came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the McMinn County Cherokees by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cherokees earlier this season, when they won 16-9.

Karly Farkas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Lynlee Hodge was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Bradley Central now has a losing record of 9-10-1. As for McMinn County, their win bumped their record up to 5-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradley Central will challenge Chattanooga Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
