South Effingham lost against Richmond Hill back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Clara Vorel paced South Effingham's offense, picking up five kills. Vorel got some help from Addison Kirby and her six assists. Kirby also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lauren Olson, racking up two apiece.

South Effingham's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Richmond Hill, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

South Effingham has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Forsyth Central on the 23rd. As for Richmond Hill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Effingham County on the 21st.
