Volleyball Recap: MacArthur Generals vs. Springfield Senators
MacArthur was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Springfield Senators. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.
MacArthur was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-22.
Jeanessa Hood paced MacArthur's offense, picking up four kills. Hood got some help from Natalya Manns and her ten assists.
MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Springfield, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.
MacArthur wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Clinton on the 15th. As for Springfield, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Glenwood at 6:00 p.m.
