Wheaton Academy kept a clean sheet against St. Edward on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Green Wave with a sharp 7-0 win. The result was nothing new for Wheaton Academy, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit St. Edward with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Annika Vandervelde (3), Gianna Hughes (2), Alaina Tran, and Hailey Weston.

Wheaton Academy has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up five goals over those 12 contests. As for St. Edward, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Looking ahead, Wheaton Academy will square off against Providence Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Wheaton Academy have won five straight at home, while Providence Catholic won ten straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for St. Edward, they will face off against Rochelle Zell Jewish at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
