Baseball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping their season record down to 12-10 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alhambra Moors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since May 8, 2024.

As for Alhambra, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Alhambra's part, Nero Navarro was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Garfield will challenge Mark Keppel at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Alhambra, they will take on Flintridge Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
