Rider piles up the points against Azle

The Rider Raiders can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 58-26 victory over Azle. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for Rider this season.

Caiden Reed continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Rider's points. Jared Cohee was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds.

Rider's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-17. As for Azle, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-20.

Rider will challenge the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Granbury presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Raiders in Texas (the Pirates are ranked 241st, while the Raiders are ranked 649th). As for Azle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Texans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Northwest is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
