Softball Recap: Bishop Amat Has No Trouble Against Saint Joseph

Bishop Amat won the last time they faced Saint Joseph and things went their way on Thursday too. Bishop Amat put the hurt on Saint Joseph with a sharp 11-2 win.

Samantha Garcia was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Garcia was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one home run.

In other batting news, Julyssa Jimenez was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Jasleen Calderon also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bishop Amat lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
