Baseball Recap: Del City Takes a Loss

Del City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Western Heights Jets. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 15-12 to the Jets when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kale Standifer was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Del City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Western Heights, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Jets beat Del City by a score of 25-6 on Tuesday.
