Basketball Game Preview: Sheldon Orabs vs. Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets

The Sheldon Orabs will venture away from home to take on the Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Sheldon and eight for Estherville Lincoln Central.

Sheldon might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 62-55 to Rock Valley, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Estherville Lincoln Central came up short against Cherokee Washington on Friday, falling 74-52. While losing is never fun, the Midgets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Braves are ranked 118th).

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Estherville Lincoln Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Things could have been worse for Sheldon, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to Estherville Lincoln Central when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Sheldon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
