Temecula Prep hasn't had much luck against Santa Rosa Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Patriots will head out to challenge the Rangers at 3:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Temecula Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 50-35 margin over Redlands Adventist Academy on Monday. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 8.3 runs per game.

Vanessa Fregoso was incredible, going 6-for-7 with six runs, eight RBI, and two doubles. Those six hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lilah Martin, who got on base in six of her eight plate appearances with six stolen bases, six runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Temecula Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 25 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.
Meanwhile, Santa Rosa Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven last Friday. They blew past the Knights 27-2. The Rangers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.
Kadence Bernard was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lisa Marie Cante was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with five runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Janai Isaacs also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Santa Rosa Academy pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.8 runs over those games. As for Temecula Prep, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-12.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Temecula Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Santa Rosa Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .398. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
