Recap: South Florence Bruins vs. Myrtle Beach Seahawks
Even though the Myrtle Beach Seahawks scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the South Florence Bruins still came out on top. South Florence managed a 65-59 win over the Seahawks. Given South Florence's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while the Seahawks are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Florence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamarie Brown out in front who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarius Davis, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
South Florence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Myrtle Beach, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-12.
South Florence will head out on the road to take on the Chiefs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Myrtle Beach, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Wilson will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
