Soccer Recap: Columbia River Beats Woodland for Their Third Straight Win

Columbia River had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Woodland Beavers 7-2. The result was nothing new for Columbia River, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Columbia River pushed their record up to 10-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three contests. As for Woodland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia River will host Puyallup at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Puyallup will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Columbia River surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodland, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against R.A. Long at 2:00 p.m.
