Football Recap: Holy Cross Lutheran Academy Takes a Loss

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Mary Prep Griffins. Even if the Crusaders couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Holy Cross Lutheran Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Lake Mary Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-7.

Coming up, Holy Cross Lutheran Academy will square off against Orangewood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' defense has only allowed 4.5 points per game this season, so the Crusaders' offense will have their work cut out for them. Lake Mary Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
